About the Author.....

Ruth began her career in Child Care as an assistant  when she was 15.  Five years later she began full time study completing an  Associate Diploma in Social Science (Child Care).

Ruth went on to become an Assistant Director and then Director of both small and large centres in Perth, Canberra and Cairns where she was passionate about offering quality care.

In conjunction with her work, Ruth was a Reviewer (Validator) for the National Child Care Accreditation Council (NCAC) over a two year period. This saw her travel to centres in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

Ruth now has two young children and  has continued to work and study part time whilst enjoying motherhood.  In 2005 she completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Children and Family studies) through Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia.
